Trying to swim as

far as I can!

Part 1: See how far I could swim

For my first young achievers challenge, I went to the Lido to see how far I could swim without stopping. I thought that I could swim 100 metres but I was quite surprised that I could swim 500 metres (20 lengths)! It was tiring and I was sore but it was worth it!

Part 2: See if I could swim more than last time

The second part of my challenge was to see if I could swim more than 500 metres after a few weeks of doing swimming at school every day. I think training for the Rongotea swiming sports helped me gain speed and strength. Plus my gym strength training helped as well.

For the second part of my challenge I swam 32 lengths, which is 800 metres. Again it was tiring and yet again worth it! I didn't think I would swim so far. I was really proud of myself!
